Privacy notice
Dad's Compass is run by Chelsea Wilkinson as a sole trader. I am the controller of the personal information you give me. ICO registration number: to be added.
What I collect
- Your name, contact details and payment details
- Information about your case, including court papers, orders, reports and statements
- Information about your children and the other people in your case
- Sensitive information that may come up in your case, such as health, domestic abuse or allegations of criminal behaviour
Why I use it, and my legal basis

Who I share it with
Only the court and the parties in your case, at your request; my insurer and professional advisers if there is a claim; my accountant for invoices; and the authorities if the law requires it. Enquiries sent through this website are stored securely by my website provider, Wix. I never sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission. Court papers are only shared as the Family Procedure Rules allow.
How long I keep it

Bookings and phone calls
When you ask for a call through this website, your name, contact details, chosen time and any message are sent to me through Wix and by email. I use them to arrange and make the call. I keep a short note of appointments and of any calls I tried to make, including missed calls, in case there's a question about it later.
Keeping it safe
I store your information in encrypted, password-protected systems, use secure email for court papers, and don't keep court papers on messaging apps.
Where your information is stored
Some of the services I use, such as Wix for this website and Google for email, may store or process information outside the UK. When that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards that UK data protection law accepts.
Your rights
You can ask to see your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, or have it transferred. Some rights are limited while I need the information for your case or to meet my legal duties. To use any of these rights, email me at compassdads@gmail.com or use the enquiry form.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
